Commissioned by English botanist John Sibthorp following his 1780s–90s expeditions, Flora Graeca was published as a ten-volume series beginning in 1806. Illustrated by Ferdinand Bauer and engraved by James Sowerby, it's one of the rarest books ever printed—only 25-30 complete copies were produced.
